The Medical Fitness Association (MFA) is proud to announce Brad Higgins was presented the Rising Star Award - Central Region at its annual conference held in San Diego, Calif., in November. The award recognizes outstanding individual achievement and leadership by front line/management staff within the medical fitness community.

Higgins is the Operations Manager at Akron General LifeStyles – West, in Montrose, where he has created a real time member suggestion process, improved emergency response times, developed a metrics based annual evaluation for his staff, developed and implemented a monthly electronic newsletter and served as the point person for the MFA Certification effort. He continues to show great interest in the industry by becoming a MFA Certified Facility Site Examiner. Higgins is a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences on the subject of metrics driven annual staff evaluations.
