Are you tired of suffering from heartburn more than twice a week or avoiding the foods that you once enjoyed due to acid indigestion? Or, have you been told you have Barrett’s esophagus and don’t know what options are available? Stop the daily medications and lifestyle changes by taking the next step toward seeking a long-term solution and attend a free information session hosted by Akron General's Heartburn Center Wednesday, March 19 at 6 p.m. at the Akron General Health & Wellness Center – Green, 1940 Town Park Blvd., Uniontown.
Gastroenterologist Richard Salvino, MD, and surgeons Charudutt Paranjape, MD, and William Papouras, MD, will present information on heartburn, GERD and Barrett’s esophagus, as well as available treatment options, including Trans‐oral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF) surgery and the minimally invasive HALO ablative therapy for Barrett’s esophagus.
