In an effort to make health and wellness easier and more accessible, Akron General has launched Schedule ME, a free web-based appointment scheduling software that offers the ability to request an appointment 24/7. This tool allows new patients to easily search, compare and book an appointment with almost any physician in less than 30 seconds.
New patients simply visit physicians.akrongeneral.org, select “Schedule ME” or search for a provider who offers online scheduling. Select “Schedule ME” from that physicians profile and click on their preferred time and date. Enter the requested information into the simple online request form. Confirm their appointment either by replying to an email or by phone. Patients will also receive an appointment reminder 24 hours prior to your appointment time.
A number of Akron General affiliated physicians have adopted the technology to provide convenient, online appointment scheduling for their patients. In the future Akron General plans to add more doctors, outpatient services and locations to the tool. The Schedule ME tool is powered by HealthPost, a provider of cloud-based health care search and booking solutions.
