Akron General offers smoking cessation classes
Resolve to quit smoking – for the ones you love

Akron General is pleased to offer a free six-week smoking cessation class using the American Lung Association’s “Freedom From Smoking” Program. Taught by Tobacco Treatment Specialists, the group sessions feature a step-by-step plan for quitting smoking. Each session is designed to help smokers gain control over their behavior. The format encourages participants to work on the process and problems of quitting both individually and as part of a group. The class will meet on Tuesdays, March 25 – April 29, with an additional class on April 17, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Akron General Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation, Staff Development Classroom, 330 Broadway St. East, Cuyahoga Falls. The class size is limited, so advance registration is required. To register, please call 330-344-2462.
