Summer camps at Akron General LifeStyles are filled with fun activities that encourage fitness, sportsmanship and learning for children ages 3-14. This year’s theme is “A Trip Through Time” and lets kids span time to explore the past, present and future. Camps run June 9 to August 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Akron General’s Health & Wellness Center – West, 4125 Medina Road, Montrose, and Akron General’s Health & Wellness Center – North, 4300 Allen Road, Stow. Camps available include day camp, pre-school camp, the always-popular one-week National Basketball Academy camp (West location only) and swim camps. Before and after care is available. Dates, times and costs vary for each camp. Register and pay before May 5, and receive a $20 discount per child per week for most camps! Guests are welcome; you do not need to be a LifeStyles member to participate in the kids’ camps. The All Sports Camp for children ages 5-13 will run June 9 to August 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Akron General Health & Wellness Center – Green, 1940 Town Park Blvd., Uniontown. Campers have the opportunity to learn about many different sports and activities to reinforce and encourage the values of honesty, respect and responsibility. Sports and activities include basketball, baseball, football, soccer, Frisbee, corn hole, volleyball, track and field, swimming and many more. Before and after care is available.
