As a sponsor of the 2013 Buckin’ Ohio bull riding series, Akron General’s Lodi Community Hospital is once again proud to share this fun, family-friendly series with the community. Located in Burbank, Buckin’ Ohio is family-owned and operated. With a passion for bull riding and the rodeo, the Thorsell family founded Buckin’ Ohio more than 10 years ago on their family farm, Creek Bend Ranch. The series has continued to grow, and has established itself as one of the area’s premier professional bull riding events, as well as a great family outing. In addition to the main event, other attractions include barrel racing, horse and wagon rides, stick horse races and live, authentic cowboy entertainment – something for everyone in the family!
Continuing this year’s rodeo season Saturday, July 27, Akron General and Buckin’ Ohio are pleased to present a special celebration in honor of the National Day of the American Cowboy. Join us as we celebrate America’s past and present cowboys and cowgirls during a special show that will feature some of the best professional bucking bull riders and cowgirls from across the Midwest.
As part of its sponsorship, Akron General’s Center for Urologic Health will be on hand to answer common questions and provide information about important topics and tips for optimal urologic health. Stop by their table for more information and tips on how you can stay well! You can also enter for a chance to win an authentic pair of cowboy (or cowgirl) boots.
Buckin’ Ohio is located at 8154 Garman Road in Burbank, Ohio. The gates open at 4 p.m. for pre-show attractions. The rodeo starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are available online at buckinohio.com or at the gate on the day of the event. Additional Buckin’ Ohio events this summer will be held Aug. 24 and Sept. 14.
